Motor assembly line

Sytec designs and builds custom motor assembly lines for the mechanical and automotive sectors.

MECHANICS AND AUTOMOTIVE

Motor assembly for the mechanical and automotive industry

A motor, whether an electric motor or a combustion engine, is a complex set of components that must be assembled to very tight tolerances and precise assembly sequences. Stators, rotors, bearings, shafts, housings, wiring: every element has specific positioning and tightening requirements. For this reason, automating motor assembly with a dedicated motor assembly line is the most effective choice to guarantee consistent quality and high output rates.

Sytec designs assembly lines dedicated to the complete assembly of electric motors, gearmotors, reduction gears and motor units. The stations handle rotor insertion, bearing fitting, controlled-torque screwdriving, pressing, balancing and wiring. In sequence, the testing systems perform electrical insulation tests, functional tests under load, noise checks and dimensional controls. Sytec’s proprietary software manages the entire production flow and allows full integration with the customer’s systems, ensuring the traceability of every single motor produced.

The systems for motor assembly are designed around the customer’s specifications and tested in-house at the Ponzano Veneto facility before delivery.

Sytec at the service of industrial automation for motor assembly

Automated assembly line for the medical industry designed and built by Sytec Group.

Assembling a motor in an automated way does not simply mean mechanizing manual operations. It means redesigning the production flow to get the most out of every station. Sytec approaches every motor assembly line project starting from the customer’s actual component: geometries, tolerances, variants and production volumes define the architecture of the system. The industrial robots are integrated by Sytec into the stations where flexibility and precision are needed, from handling to load/unload all the way to quality control.

The Sytec motor assembly lines are designed to guarantee maximum production flexibility. Every system, in fact, manages the variant changeover automatically with no line stoppages, adapting fixtures, tightening programs and testing parameters to the model being processed. In addition, all assembly and testing data is automatically acquired and stored to ensure full traceability of every motor produced.

Motor assembly lines integrated into mechanical and automotive automation

A Sytec motor assembly line is not a stand-alone system. It integrates, in fact, within robotic cells and wider systems, where motor assembly takes place in sequence with the other production stages. In this way, every motor is assembled, tested and traced without interruptions in the workflow.

In addition to motor assembly lines, Sytec is an industrial automation company that designs and builds systems for mechanical assembly of every type: reduction gears, pumps, compressors, actuators and precision small parts. The systems also integrate with robotic welding, automatic palletizing and robotic painting systems to cover the entire production cycle. Thanks to ISO 9001:2015 certification, every system therefore meets the quality standards required by customers.
