Assembly and testing lines for the lock manufacturing sector

Sytec designs and builds assembly lines for locks, hinges, security cylinders and window-and-door hardware.

INDUSTRY AND MANUFACTURING

Automation for the lock manufacturing sector. Precision and security in every component

In the lock manufacturing sector, precision is synonymous with security. Springs, pins, tumblers, levers and cylinders must be assembled to minimal tolerances to ensure the correct operation of every lock. For this reason, automating lock assembly is the most effective choice to eliminate assembly errors and ensure process repeatability over large volumes.

Sytec has consolidated experience in the design and construction of assembly lines for the lock manufacturing sector. The systems handle the complete assembly of interior and exterior locks, hinge assembly, security cylinder assembly, espagnolettes, corner drives, locking hooks and tilt-and-turn components. Every station is equipped with dedicated feeding systems, poka-yoke fixtures and automatic conformity checks at every assembly stage. In addition, Sytec’s proprietary software allows full integration with the customer’s systems for complete traceability of every piece produced.

The systems for lock assembly and window-and-door hardware are designed around the customer’s specifications and tested in-house at the Ponzano Veneto facility before delivery.

Sytec at the service of industrial automation for the lock manufacturing sector

Automated assembly line for the medical industry designed and built by Sytec Group.

In the lock manufacturing sector, the variety of products is enormous: every model of lock, hinge or cylinder has its own geometries and assembly sequences. Sytec tackles this complexity by designing flexible lines, able to handle dozens of variants on the same system thanks to rapid format changeovers and assembly recipes managed via software. The industrial robots are integrated by Sytec into the stations where speed and precision are needed in handling small components.

Assembly lines for the lock manufacturing sector integrated into industrial automation

The Sytec lock assembly lines are not stand-alone systems. They integrate, in fact, within robotic cells and wider systems, where assembly and testing take place in sequence without interruptions in the production flow. In this way, every lock, hinge or security cylinder is assembled, tested and traced within the same system.
