Testing benches for industrial electronics

Testing benches for industrial electronics

Sytec designs and builds custom electronic test benches and testing systems for the electronic sector.

ELECTRONICS

Electronic board testing and functional tests for industry

Testing is the stage that separates an assembled product from a reliable one. In electronic production, in fact, a defect not detected as it leaves the line turns into an enormously higher cost when discovered by the end customer. For this reason, integrating electronic test benches into the production process is a strategic choice, not just a technical one.

Sytec designs and builds electronic board testing systems that verify every functional aspect. The benches perform continuity tests, electrical insulation tests, functional checks under load, burn-in tests and high-voltage electrical testing. For electrical-panel testing, in addition, the Sytec systems handle sequence tests, wiring checks and operation tests of every installed component.

Every bench is equipped with test boards dedicated to the customer’s product and with custom-designed probes, fixtures and interfaces. Sytec’s proprietary software manages the test sequences, acquires the testing data and transmits it to the customer’s systems for complete traceability of every piece tested. The electronic test benches are designed around the customer’s specifications.

Sytec at the service of industrial automation

Automated assembly line for the medical industry designed and built by Sytec Group.

Testing an electronic product does not mean running a single test. It means designing a testing strategy that covers every possible failure mode. Sytec approaches every project for electronics laboratory benches starting from the customer’s quality requirements: acceptable defect rate, reference standards, production volumes and available cycle time define the architecture of the test system. Every bench is then built and tested in-house within the industrial automation systems before delivery.

The electronic test benches are designed to integrate into the line’s production rhythm without creating bottlenecks. Every system, in fact, manages the product changeover automatically, adapting the test sequences and the test boards to the variant being processed. In addition, all electrical testing data is automatically acquired and stored to ensure full traceability of every piece tested and compliance with industry regulations.

Electronic testing benches integrated into production lines

The Sytec electronic test benches are not stand-alone systems. Upstream, in fact, they connect with the electronic board assembly lines, where electronic board testing takes place in sequence with the assembly stations. In this way, every board or finished product is assembled, tested and traced without interruptions in the production flow.
