Assembly lines for electric vehicle batteries

The production and installation of electric vehicle batteries requires high-precision assembly lines, able to handle delicate components such as lithium-ion cells, battery modules and BMS units. For this reason, the systems must guarantee absolute repeatability, controlled thermal management and compliance with the safety standards of the automotive industry.

Sytec designs assembly lines dedicated to the entire production cycle of the electric vehicle battery pack. The assembly stations handle cell insertion, bus bar welding, application of thermally conductive materials, module assembly and enclosure sealing. In sequence, the testing systems perform electric vehicle battery tests on the cooling circuit’s tightness, high- and low-voltage electrical insulation checks and complete functional controls. Every station is equipped with ESD-certified sensors and measuring instruments for protection against static electricity. In addition, Sytec’s proprietary software allows full integration with the customer’s systems, thereby ensuring the traceability of every single battery pack produced and tested.

The systems for rechargeable battery assembly are designed around the customer’s specifications and tested in-house at the Ponzano Veneto facility before delivery. As a result, the customer receives a system that is already validated and ready for production.
